How To Set Up Gamification
One of the best ways to keep users engaged and motivated throughout their training is to use game-like elements.
1. Login as administrator, go to account & settings and click gamification.
2. TalentLMS integrates with some of the most popular and “battle-tested” gamification techniques, such as points, badges, levels, leaderboard, and rewards.
3. Let’s take a quick look at each one.
4. First, Points. Choose how many points users earn everytime they perform a specific action. And they will get a notification at the bottom of the screen when they are awarded.
5. Second, Activate Badges to highlight the milestones in the users’ progress.
6. Pick rules that will define when your users receive their badges, and click customize badges
7. From here, you can re-name existing icons, upload your own or even pick a different set.
8. Let’s see how learners see in action.
9. From your learners’ homepage, you can click progress, go to badges to track your progress.
10. The system is compatible with Mozilla’s open badges initiative so, learners can sync their badges with Mozilla’s Backpack API and store them all in one place
11. Again, as a learner, go to progress, badges including synch with Mozilla Backpack
12. Activate the gamification settings.
13. Levels are a way to measure learners’ progress
14. Here, you can define how learners will go to the next level based on points they have collected, courses they have completed, or badges they have earned
15. Leaderboards can be used as a public score board. This way the learner has the overview of their position compared to others.

17. Check those you want included in the Leaderboard
18. Keep in mind that every Leaderboard is different for each of your branches.
19. To give your learners an extra push, use rewards translate to points, badges, levels and special offers.
