About Us

Michigan English Assessments Inc. was incorporated and registered with the Securities Exchange Commission on October 12, 2010. It started operation as assessment and editing service for ESL students in Korea via online. It registered with TESDA its English proficiency courses in 2014 as non-training regulated programs.

Then, in the year 2016, it registered with TESDA two training-regulated programs, the Trainers Methodology I and Contact Center Services NC II.

In the last quarter of 2022, it launched its website, www.mich-skills.com.
This internet platform carries the SEC-approved corporate name ‘Mich-Skills Digital Learning Platforms Opc’.
It goes to everyone in the world. Anytime.

Our Story

The ‘Michigan’ in Michigan English Assessments Inc. was inspired from the university name University of Michigan, USA. Dr. Hermelo Cervantes had a fruitful business relationship with Dr. Gary Buck who at one time the ESL Testing Director of that reputable US institution, and was the developer of Spectrum Academic English Test.

In 2012, Michigan English Assessments Inc. partnered with iTEP, the developer of International Test of English Proficiency which is an international standard of English assessment in the mold of TOEFL and IELTS. A couple of years before that, HA Cervantes Knowledge Systems, the precursor of Michigan English Assessments Inc. was a Philippine test center representative of Educational Testing Service in Test of Spoken English, a TOEFL speaking test component.

Upon its SEC registration in 2010, Michigan English Assessments Inc. was the English assessment and editing provider to Anytest, Inc., for its ESL clients in Korea. The business model was made possible through internet technology.

Beginning the year 2014 and soon after, Michigan English Assessments Inc. ran TESDA-registered programs in English Proficiency, Contact Center, and Trainers Methodology I.
